ID Cards + orders + leave documents, are usually sufficient for active-duty military members for any continental tours but when traveling on such documentation, I understand that it is my responsibility to check these will be appropriate and I travel on these at my own risk.
  2. Complying with FCG (Foreign Clearance Guidance)/ APACS (An Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System)
    Active-Duty/ dependents, DOD ID Holders personnel are required to follow FCG/APACS requirements before booking any foreign country trip.
  3. STEP
    (The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program) registration. It is highly advised to register with STEP before any travel at the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (state.gov)
    It is a free service to allow U.S. citizens and nationals traveling and living abroad to enroll their trip with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate."
